Your data stays yours

No cookies, no tracking, no accounts. Here's exactly what happens - and doesn't happen - when you use this site.

The short version

Everything you type into the calculator stays in your browser. There are no cookies, no ad trackers, and no personal data collected. Saving your settings between visits is entirely opt-in - the calculator works fully either way. The only analytics are anonymous, aggregate visit counts - nothing that identifies you.

No cookies

The site never sets cookies for tracking or advertising. The one prompt you may see asks permission to save your settings locally - it's not a cookie banner, since there's nothing cookie-related happening at all.

Local storage is your choice

If you allow it, your saved defaults, printer templates and theme are kept in your browser's local storage - never uploaded to a server. Decline, or turn it off later in Settings, and none of that is saved; the calculator still works, it just resets when you leave. A couple of small functional flags - your storage choice itself, and whether you've dismissed a banner - are saved either way, purely so notices don't keep reappearing on every reload.

No accounts

There's no sign-up and no login. You never hand over an email address or any personal detail to use the tool.

Files never leave

STL and 3MF files you drop in are read and measured entirely in your browser - they are never uploaded.

Analytics

This site uses Plausible Analytics to gather anonymous statistics about site usage - things like how many people visited a page and roughly where in the world they are.

Plausible is privacy-first: it uses no cookies, doesn't track you across sites, and never collects personal data. The numbers are fully aggregated and can't be tied back to any individual.

Third parties

Fonts

- the Space Grotesk typeface loads from Google Fonts.

Donations

- the “Buy me a coffee” link opens an external service that has its own privacy policy.

App stores

- the iOS and Android apps are governed by the respective store policies.
